Sanket Bhasin

Sanket Bhasin is a seasoned business builder with 18 years of experience scaling software companies.

Sanket founded and sold two businesses and advised Fortune 500 executives on building and scaling software businesses. He’s worked with teams at Boston Consulting Group, Shell Oil Company, and Kimberly-Clark across the U.S., Australia, and the U.K.

Sanket studied Computer Science at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He serves as a Coach for Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago and a Speaker for Entrepreneurship at the Australian Government Department of Education.

 

Outside work, he’s likely boxing, snowboarding, or riding motorbikes.

Rameez Ansari

Rameez is the co-CEO of AutoLeap and a Partner at Highland Creek Partners. He has led the growth of companies across North America and Asia. .

Currently, Rameez is a Director at Synergy Corporation in Pakistan’s energy sector and a Finance Lecturer at the University of Toronto. He was previously Co-CEO of FieldEdge, a SaaS company he scaled 5x before selling to Advent International. Earlier, Rameez worked at Boston Consulting Group, advising Fortune 500 clients.
Rameez holds a BBA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Stanford. In 2018, he received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Steve Lau

Steve is the Co-CEO of AutoLeap and a Partner at Highland Creek Partners.

Previously, he was co-CEO of FieldEdge, a service management software provider for the home contractor market he acquired in 2015. In three years, Steve scaled FieldEdge from 25 to 200 employees, transformed the business from server-based to cloud-based, and sold the company to Advent International.
Early in his career, Steve spent several years with CPPIB where he completed $11B in private equity transactions. He also worked in investment banking at TD Securities. In 2018, Steve received an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award and in 2019, he was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Steve has a BBA from the University of Toronto, where he is now a Lecturer in the Management program and an MBA from Wharton Business School.

Previously, Ritu led marketing at Syllable.ai, a technology company improving patient experience while reducing operational costs, and was part of the founding team at Verana Health, a data analytics company delivering quality drug lifecycle, medical practice, and medical society insights.
Ritu holds a Master's from Stanford and a Bachelor of Science from MIT.
Sumit Aneja

Previously, Sumit was CEO of Voxco, where he accelerated growth through organic and inorganic strategies, leading to a successful sale to a private equity firm. Before Voxco, he worked as an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, covering Business Services and Technology. He also served on the IMF’s macro research team.
Sumit holds an MBA from Yale, an MS in Financial Engineering from Claremont College, and a Bachelors from Punjab Engineering College. He is a Board Member at Priory School in Montreal.
Jonathan Ferrari

Jonathan is the Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Goodfood, Canada’s largest independent online grocery company. Goodfood allows members to plan meals and shop for groceries in under a minute.

Founded in 2014 in Montreal, the company employs over 2,500 people and serves over 300,000 households across Canada. Goodfood has been publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 2017 (TSX:FOOD).
Jonathan also serves on the board of SRTX, which builds new materials and software to enable better textiles. SRTX, is known for its Sheertex technology, which creates ultra-strong pantyhose. He was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2017 and recognized as EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.

BroadPeak is a high-growth software business, becoming a top choice for blue-chip customers in the global commodity industry. The platform helps traders manage exposures across multiple markets while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Prior to BroadPeak, Toby worked in risk analysis and value creation within commodity markets, most recently at ExxonMobil, where he managed the firm’s petroleum hedging program.

Toby holds a degree in Economics from American University and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics.

Prior to this, Jessica was the Founding Team & Director of Xeek at Studio X by Shell Oil Company and a Lead Venture Architect at BCG Digital Ventures. Jessica also worked as a Mechanical Engineer and Program Manager at Microsoft.
Jessica holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering.
Michael Miles

Michael is the Co-Founder and Partner of The Operand Group with over 35 years of experience in building and operating recruiting businesses.

In 1988, he founded SeatonCorp, a leading provider of recruiting and staffing solutions. Under his leadership, SeatonCorp grew from two employees to over 2,500, earning more than $700 million in revenue by 2014, when it was sold to True Blue (NYSE: TBI). From 2020 to 2022, he was CEO of EmployBridge, the largest light industrial staffing company in the U.S., leading it through the pandemic and a sale to Apollo.
Michael has been recognized with several awards including the Staffing Industry Analysts' Peter Yessne Workforce Innovator Award, a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program, and is listed on The Staffing 100 (the 100 most influential people in the staffing industry).

He holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from Arizona State University.

Prior to this experience, Carlos executed various trading roles successfully and, in doing so, gained valuable process, technology, and management skills that he is eager to share with young entrepreneurs. ​

Carlos received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth.

Matthew most recently led Hometurf Lawn Care, a Canadian residential lawn care company, which he acquired in 2020. Under his leadership, Hometurf achieved strong growth and margin expansion, leading to its sale to a U.S.-based private equity firm in 2023.
Before Hometurf, Matthew founded Hemlock Capital Partners in 2018 and was Vice President of Operations at a management consulting firm specializing in operations consulting.
